Afghanistan needs grain and is asking Russia to lower prices for its exports. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan, a representative of the "Taliban" movement (an organization banned in Russia), Nuruddin Azizi, at the session "Russia - Afghanistan" within the international economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2024", as reported by the "Interfax" news agency.
"There are certain goods in Russia that Afghanistan needs - wheat, grain. We have a demand for them. However, Russia's export tariffs are very high. We want these prices to be lower," Azizi said at the session.
The minister also believes that special tariffs are needed for Afghan export goods.
"We want to take advantage of all benefits, including countries that do not have access to the sea," Azizi added.
