According to the information provided by the IA "APK-Inform" agency, at the beginning of this week, an increase in purchase prices for feed corn is observed in the export market in Ukraine.
This phenomenon is associated with a similar situation in the wheat market, as well as with concerns about a significant reduction in corn production potential and increased demand for grain from the new crop from importers.
For example, in the ports of Big Odessa, purchase prices for the new harvest of feed corn have increased by 2-3 USD/ton and, as of today, September 6, 2024, range from 172 to 180 USD/ton on CPT-port terms. At the same time, in the Danube ports, the demand for corn has increased by 1-2 USD/ton, and prices remain stable in the range of 176 to 184 USD/ton on CPT-port terms. For the old crop, prices usually ranged from 184 to 187 USD/ton on the Danube and Odessa on CPT-port terms, respectively.
