October raw sugar SBc1 rose 0.28 cents, or 1.2%, to 24.39 cents a pound, Nasdaq reported.
Dealers said a deal with Egypt over the weekend to buy 150,000 tons from Brazil led to some buying in the market on Monday and Tuesday as it signaled good physical moves.
In July, Brazil exported 2.98 million tons of sugar, up 3.5% compared to the same period last year.
October white sugar LSUC1 rose $16.40, or 2.4%, to $699.70 per tonne.
