In the current year, plots were created in the fields of the agricultural firm for crossing corn in order to grow early and mid-early varieties of our own selection, such as Berta, Darina MV-242, Prokhladnensky 175 SV, Prokhladnensky 185 SV, Vilora, and others.
The harvest is carried out using a special combine harvester designed for collecting corn cobs in a "field-to-factory" scheme. After the harvest, the corn is sent to the corn calibration plant LLC SSC "Selection", where it is manually cleaned from non-standard and damaged cobs, and then undergoes the drying and threshing process.
Prior to harvesting, specialists from the Prokhladnensky district branch of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "RosSelkhozCenter for the Kabardino-Balkar Republic" conducted a field inspection where corn crossing is conducted, covering a total area of 547.28 hectares. As a result, reports of approval were drawn up, confirming the purity of varieties throughout the entire territory.
During the harvesting process, specialists from the district branch of RosSelkhozCenter took corn samples for laboratory research on the quality of planting material. Samples were taken both from the crossing sites and from the corn calibration plant LLC "Selection".
