The Russian Federation has taken the fourth place among the world's countries in terms of agricultural exports. This was stated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with farmers.

He emphasized that the revenue from exports amounted to 43.5 billion dollars.

"Such results in the agro-industrial complex sphere have never been achieved in our country before. Not even during the times of the tsar," - noted the head of state.

On Tuesday, Putin arrived in the Stavropol Krai, where the working program was dedicated to agricultural issues.

Starting from the year 2000, Russia has significantly increased food production and reduced its dependency on imports in this sphere, said the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with workers of the agro-industrial complex in the Stavropol Krai. "Many changes have occurred in the agricultural sector in recent years."
