Record growth in shipments and handling: Demetra-Holding set new standards in the first quarter of 2024.

The company "Demetra-Holding" broke records in the first quarter of 2024: the volumes of transshipment and grain shipments from elevators increased. The biggest success was in March, when 739.5 thousand tons of grain were processed at the NDT. Total shipments increased by 56%, with the Ipаtovskiy plant and Oktyabrskiy elevator leading the way. The company is the largest vertically integrated holding in Russia.

In the first quarter of 2024, the company "Demetra-Holding" set records in all areas of its activities. The terminals of the holding significantly increased the volume of transshipment, and shipments from their own elevators reached a historical maximum. The results of this success were announced by the company.

The most successful month for the holding's terminals was March. For example, at the Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (NGT), 739.5 thousand tons of grain were processed, which is 11% more than in March 2023. At the Grain Terminal Complex "Taman" (GTCT), 579 thousand tons of grain were transshipped (+15%). In total, in the first quarter, NGT transshipped 1.8 million tons of cargo, and GTCT transshipped 1.3 million tons, respectively 6% and 13% more than last year.

Total shipments from the holding's elevators increased by 56% compared to the first quarter of 2023 and amounted to 280.9 thousand tons. Ipatovsky Bread Products Plant (Stavropol Territory) and October Elevator (Volgograd Region) became leaders in shipments in their regions, reaching values of 119 thousand tons (+38%) and 82.4 thousand tons (+12%), respectively.

The Dimitrovgrad Elevator (Ulyanovsk Region) increased its shipments from 7.2 thousand tons in the first quarter of 2023 to 45.2 thousand tons. Chernyshkovsky Elevator (Volgograd Region) shipped 34.3 thousand tons of grain, which is 5.5 thousand tons more than the previous year.

Almost 3 million tons of grain were transported by rail towards export terminals, which is 6% more than last year. In addition, 580 scheduled grain shipments with a total volume of 1.4 million tons were organized. By road using the Smartseeds platform, almost 800 thousand tons were transported, which is 21% more than the previous year.

The company "Demetra-Holding" is the largest vertically integrated infrastructure holding in Russia, combining assets in the field of export logistics and grain trading. The company is developing its network of elevators and owns deepwater grain sea terminals and logistics infrastructure. The holding includes the Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (100%), Novorossiysk Bread Products Plant (35.36%), Grain Terminal Complex "Taman" (50%). The company also owns 50% minus one share in the "United Grain Company," 100% of the railway operators "Rusagrotrans," "LP Trans," "Freight Company," and "TransLes," as well as over 75% of Smartseeds - the leading digital platform for grain transportation in Russia. In addition, the company fully controls the major grain trader "Demetra Trading" and elevators in Ipatovo, October, Chernyshkovsky, and Dimitrovgrad.
