Export of grains from Ukraine for the season has increased to 42.91 million tons: details from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

The State Customs Service of Ukraine reported that during the current season the country exported 42.91 million tons of grain. A comparison with last year's figures shows that as of May 10th, the exports reached 42.941 million tons. Among them, wheat accounted for 16.386 million tons, barley - 2.235 million, rye - 1.3 thousand, and maize - 23.807 million tons.

The export of Ukrainian flour also decreased to 88.7 thousand tons.

According to the latest data from the State Customs Service, Ukraine exported 42.91 million tonnes of grains and legumes since the beginning of the current agricultural year. The shipment in April amounted to 1.551 million tonnes. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Comparing to the previous year, as of May 10, the amount of exported grains reached 42.941 million tonnes. In May, the quantity reached 1.055 million tonnes.

Breaking down by specific crops, the export volume since the beginning of the current season is as follows:

  • Wheat: 16.386 million tonnes (608 thousand tonnes in May);
  • Barley: 2.235 million tonnes (33 thousand tonnes);
  • Rye: 1.3 thousand tonnes (0.1 thousand tonnes);
  • Corn: 23.807 million tonnes (907 thousand tonnes).

The total export of Ukrainian flour as of May 10 is below last year's level (132 thousand tonnes) at 88.7 thousand tonnes. In May, 2.1 thousand tonnes were shipped, with wheat flour accounting for 83.8 thousand tonnes.
