Russia's agricultural exports reached historical levels in 2024.

Russian farmers have increased exports of vegetables, fruits, meat, and dairy products. The export of root vegetables has doubled, while the export of seeded fruits has increased by 3.4 times. Meat supplies have also increased, especially of large horned cattle. The export of dairy products has also increased, including to Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

According to the data from the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, during the first three months of 2024, domestic agricultural producers significantly increased the export of pome fruits such as apples, pears, and quinces, as well as root vegetables including carrots, turnips, beets, celery, and radishes. The export of onions and garlic remains at a high level. A significant growth was recorded in the exports of live animals, lamb and kid meat, processed meat products, and food by-products. Deliveries of poultry, pork, dairy products such as milk, cream, yogurt, kefir, and whey also remain consistently high. For example, the volume of potato exports in the first quarter of this year increased by 1.8 times compared to the same period last year. Deliveries of root vegetables grew by 2 times, and pome fruits by 3.4 times. The export of livestock increased by 2.2 times, with deliveries of cattle growing by 6.8 times. Georgia made a significant contribution by increasing its imports by 29 times and exporting cattle to Kazakhstan by 17.5 times. Among the main importers of pigs, Georgia also stands out. During the reporting period, the country received 1.3 times more heads than the previous year. Deliveries of small cattle increased by 3.4 times, mainly to Lebanon. The volume of lamb and kid meat exports increased by 2.4 times, with Iran remaining the main importer of these types of meat. There was also a significant growth in the supply of processed meat products, by 1.5 times. Most of the goods were exported to Kazakhstan. Also noted is the increase in the export of food by-products due to increased purchases by Vietnam by 1.7 times. Poultry meat shipments remain high, with China, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan being the main buyers. High indicators are observed in the export of pork, which is purchased by Belarus and Vietnam. Shipments of this product to Serbia for the past period grew by 2.6 times. Traditionally impressive results have been achieved in the export of dairy products. The largest buyer, Kazakhstan, increased purchases by 1.3 times compared to the first quarter of 2023. Growth in deliveries is also noted in Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, where volumes increased by 2.5 and 1.6 times, respectively.
