During the first six days of May, the export of agricultural products from Ukraine through road transport reached 81 thousand tons, which is 9% higher than the same indicator of the previous month (74 thousand tons).
In addition, during this period, the volume of transportation at the Polish border increased to 19.134 thousand tons, which is almost three times higher than in April (7.4 thousand tons). However, the volumes of transportation at other border crossings significantly decreased.
"The average daily volume of transportation at all Ukrainian borders during the first six days of May increased to 13.538 thousand tons compared to April (12.42 thousand tons). Sugar and sunflower oil are the most exported products by road transport in the first six days of May, accounting for 14.679 and 12.322 thousand tons respectively," the statement said.
It is also noted that freight rates to Europe remain unchanged in anticipation of the new harvest.
Currently, the market prices for transporting goods from western Ukraine are as follows: to central and northern Italy - from 120 to 135 euros, to northern Bulgaria - from 75 to 100 euros, to eastern Germany - from 115 to 135 euros.
For road transport from central Ukraine, the rates are as follows: to southern Romania - from 77 to 100 euros, Ukrainian ports on the Danube - from 37 to 50 euros, Big Odessa - from 25 to 37 euros.
