According to Conab's monitoring data, as of June 10, harvesting of second-crop corn (safrina) in Brazil was carried out on 1.7% of the planned area (+1% for the week), while at the reporting date of the previous year this figure was 4.9%.
As noted, the lack of sufficient rainfall slows down the pace of field work. However, despite this, most of the grain crops remain in good condition, and therefore the corn yield is expected to be at a fairly high level.
In addition, wheat sowing continues in the country, which has already been completed at 47% of the planned areas (+6% for the week), which is in line with the previous year.
