Exchange committee (council)

the governing body of the exchange. In some countries, the B. to. has other names, for example, in the USA - the Board of Governors, in the UK - the Council of the Exchange. B. to. is elected by the general meeting of members of the exchange for a certain period. The main functions of the B to. are: a) supervision over compliance with the charter governing admission to the exchange members, and the rules for conducting operations; b) monitoring the admission of securities and the issuance of exchange bulletins; c) the appointment of brokers: d) analysis of conflicts between members of the exchange, and so on. between exchange members and their clients; e) communication with other organizations (including state ones) and with the press.
