The magnificent oil extraction plant, which is the largest in the Republic of Belarus, was a haven for the eyes of the delegation from the Amur region led by the highly respected governor Vasily Orlov. Located in the city of Smorgon, the plant produces over 650,000 tons of products annually. Another similar plant is currently being constructed in the city of Belogorsk. Business prospects were discussed at a meeting with investors.

The guests were also shown the production and transport-logistics terminals, laboratories, and the dispatch center. The plant processes up to 2,000 tons of oily crops daily, such as rapeseed, spring camelina, flax, and soybeans, producing oil, meal, and lecithin. The plant has international certification and guarantees product quality at all stages of production. It includes a large logistics terminal with warehouses, storage facilities, a railway complex, and areas for loading and unloading vehicles. Also, engineering facilities have been specifically created, such as purification infrastructures, water intake, and a high-voltage distribution point. The opening of a similar plant in Belogorsk is planned for 2026, and its capacity will be increased by one and a half times compared to the current plant.

“We are ready to provide full support to this enterprise. This is a very important investment project in agriculture. The plant will be able to process a million tons of soybeans and agricultural products annually, contributing to an increase in demand for soybeans both in the region and in the Far East,” noted Vasily Orlov.
