The company "Tula Plant of Vegetable Oils" has increased its production output following the introduction of a new production site for processing oil crops. This information was shared by the acting governor of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, during his visit to the plant in Yelets on Friday.
The new site has a processing capacity of 170,000 tons of raw materials per year, with an annual production volume of up to 70,000 tons of vegetable oils.
According to the regional government's press service, the agreement to build a modern oil plant for processing rapeseed and sunflower was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2018. The project was successfully completed at the end of last year.
Milyaev also noted in his Telegram channel that the total investment in the project amounted to over 3 billion rubles, resulting in the successful creation of 177 new jobs.
Information about the launch of the new production facility in Yelets had not been reported previously.
Milyaev reminded that an agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024 for the construction of a production facility for deeper oil processing. The project cost is 6.4 billion rubles. Upon its implementation, the total processing capacity will increase to 495,000 tons per year.
The plant's General Director, Eduard Kochenov, stated that the enterprise requires an investment loan of 5.1 billion rubles.
The acting governor of the Tula region instructed the Minister of Agriculture of the region, Alexey Stepin, to study this issue together with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
"Tula Plant of Vegetable Oils is one of the leaders in the agro-industrial complex of our region, and the company continues to actively develop, increasing its capacities," Milyaev emphasized.
LLC "Tula Plant of Vegetable Oils" was registered in Yelets, Tula region, in 2018. The company belongs to LLC "KM" (Tula region), owned by Kochenov. The main activity of the company is the production of oils and fats. In 2023, the company generated revenue of 4.8 billion rubles and a net profit of 304.8 million rubles.
