In 2024, over 8.8 billion rubles are planned to be allocated to support the agro-industrial complex and develop rural areas in the Rostov region. This is 170 million rubles more than the previous year. According to information from the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the level of funding for farmers will remain high.
Konstantin Rachalovsky, Deputy Governor and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region, announced that regional farmers have already been allocated about 5.4 billion rubles in the first seven months of this year. This amounts to 60.9% of the established limit. During the active season of field work, agricultural producers receive necessary financial resources in the form of subsidies from the federal and regional budgets. For these purposes, 3.8 billion rubles have already been allocated, of which 1.17 million rubles are intended for the production and sale of grain crops.
Farmers have received state support in various areas: 651.2 million rubles for the purchase of agricultural machinery, 572.0 million rubles for the purchase of feed for certain livestock sub-sectors, 233 million rubles for own milk production, 232.1 million rubles for support of small farms and rural tourism development, as well as 151.6 million rubles for the purchase of breeding stock of agricultural animals.
In the regional agricultural department, it was noted that 2.5 billion rubles have already been allocated from the federal budget for peasants of the Rostov region, which is 80% of the established limit.
Favorable crediting of farmers also contributes to the conduct of seasonal field work and the development of other directions in the industry. In seven months, Don agricultural producers received 12.3 billion rubles in the form of preferential short-term loans.
During the same period, enterprises in the agro-industrial complex in the Rostov region received over 2.4 billion rubles in the form of preferential investment loans.
State support has contributed to the industry's development, including import substitution production, as well as the production of competitive products. In the first half of the year, the volume of food production in the Rostov region increased by almost 6% compared to the same period last year. Growth ranged from 20% to 70% for different items. In total, in six months, products worth 116 billion rubles were produced in the region, which is 2.7% more than the previous year, noted Konstantin Rachalovsky.
