Since the beginning of this year, Russia has exported about 500 thousand tons of leguminous crops to India, according to Anton Karmazin, the deputy head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, who spoke at the All-Russian Grain Forum.

He emphasized that this is a record figure, but the Indian market has significant potential.

Karmazin explained that the Indian side has lifted the requirement for fumigation with methyl bromide of all grains, leguminous crops, and oilseeds from Russia.

Previously, this was a mandatory condition for agricultural exporters, or they had to carry out the treatment directly at the port of discharge.
