Enterprises engaged in the food and processing industry have shown stable development in the Lipetsk region over the 10 months of 2024, selling goods totaling 258.6 billion rubles, according to information provided by the regional agricultural authority.
The production of food products continues to grow in the Lipetsk region, allowing the region to hold a leading position among the most significant producers in the country. The food products grown in the Lipetsk region are no longer just raw materials, as the number of high-quality products supplied to foreign markets is increasing. The main consumers of Lipetsk products are South Africa, Turkey, and India, which account for approximately 45% of the total export volume.
The total volume of products shipped and sold by food and processing industry enterprises in the region for the 10 months of 2024 amounts to 258.6 billion rubles. This figure exceeds the indicators of the same period last year by 19.2%. According to Rosstat data, the index of food production in the Lipetsk region increased by 2.6%.
There is an increase in the production of vegetable oils. Over the 10 months of 2024, 9.4% more oil was produced compared to the same period the previous year. Particularly impressive is the growth of soybean oil, showing an increase of 79.4%.
"The President of the Russian Federation has set a task for the agro-industrial complex - to increase the volume of production by at least a quarter by 2030. Enterprises engaged in the food and processing industry in the Lipetsk region are actively working in this direction, increasing product output and expanding the range," noted Ekaterina Markova, head of the Department of Agriculture of the Lipetsk region.
