Международный совет по зерну (IGC) понизил прогноз валового сбора и экспорта зерна из РФ

The global grain harvest in the agricultural year 2024/2025 will decrease to 2.31 billion tons. The forecast for wheat collection is also lowered. In Russia, the harvest will decrease by 2.3 million tons, grain exports by 52.2 million tons. In the EU, the harvest will decrease by 7 million tons, while in Kazakhstan it will increase. Ukraine expects a grain harvest of 58.6 million tons, wheat - 25.4 million tons, and corn - 26 million tons. Grain and wheat exports are also expected to increase.

According to the International Grains Council (IGC) report for August, the global grain harvest for the agricultural year 2024/2025 (July 2024-June 2025) will be lower than previously forecast in July, amounting to 2.314.9 million tonnes, which is 6 million tonnes less. The wheat harvest forecast has also been reduced to 799.1 million tonnes, down by 1.9 million tonnes.

Situation in Russia

  • The forecast for grain harvest in the Russian Federation for the agricultural year 2024/2025 has been lowered by 2.3 million tonnes to 119.4 million tonnes. The forecast for wheat harvest remains unchanged at 81.8 million tonnes.
  • It is expected that grain exports from Russia will amount to 52.2 million tonnes, which is 1.2 million tonnes less than the previous forecast. The wheat export forecast has slightly decreased to 43.2 million tonnes.

Situation in the EU

  • The forecast for grain harvest in the European Union has been reduced by 7 million tonnes to 267.5 million tonnes, including a decrease in the wheat forecast from 128.7 million to 124.8 million tonnes.
  • The EU is expected to export 47.1 million tonnes of grains, which is 1.6 million tonnes less, including 32.4 million tonnes of wheat, which is 900 thousand tonnes less compared to the July forecast.

Situation in Kazakhstan

  • Forecasts for grain and wheat harvest in Kazakhstan have been raised to 20.3 million tonnes and 16 million tonnes, respectively.
  • The grain export forecast has been increased to 11.7 million tonnes, while the wheat export forecast is 10.3 million tonnes.

Situation in Ukraine

  • The grain harvest in Ukraine is expected to be 58.6 million tonnes, which is 800 thousand tonnes more, and wheat harvest will increase to 25.4 million tonnes, which is 2 million tonnes more.
  • Forecasts for grain and wheat exports have also been raised. Ukraine plans to export 38.2 million tonnes of grains, including 15 million tonnes of wheat.
  • The gross corn harvest is reduced by 1.2 million tonnes to 26 million tonnes, and corn exports have decreased from 23 million to 21.6 million tonnes.
