The corporation "Agrocomplex Labinsky" (formerly known as "Concern Pokrovsky") invested over 500 million rubles ($5.47 million) in the development of its sugar plants in 2024, according to information provided by NIA-KUBAN. The management company allocated 220 million rubles ($2.4 million) to ensure the normal operation of the plants and 320 million rubles ($3.5 million) for current repairs.
According to the CEO of the enterprise Alexey Skorobogatov, this allowed timely preparation of the plants for the processing season. The three plants of the agrocomplex have a total processing capacity of 16.75 thousand tons of sugar beets per day: Kanevskoy plant - 6.4 thousand tons, Timashevskoye enterprise - 6.3 thousand tons, Kurganinsk plant - 4.05 thousand tons.
In addition, the agrocomplex expanded the area for growing sugar beets from 20.8 thousand hectares to 25.1 thousand hectares and increased purchases of seeds from domestic producers by 30%. It is expected that the beet yield will be around 390 centners per hectare.
