The company "Beidahuan" from Ussuriysk, owned by citizens of the PRC, plans to establish an enterprise in the Border region of the Primorsky Krai for the cultivation of soybeans. This project will be implemented within the Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV) regime, and the company, being a resident of the FPV with Chinese investments, will carry it out.
According to the agreement concluded with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (KRDV), a sum of about 78 million rubles will be allocated for the implementation of this project, and it is planned to create 50 new jobs. The first harvest from this enterprise is expected to be obtained in 2025. Annually, the enterprise plans to produce more than 2.6 thousand tons of leguminous crops. This harvest will be marketed both domestically and internationally.
“Our goal is to build a strong agro-industrial enterprise with an international reputation as a reliable and quality supplier of soybeans,” stated Irina Vanyova, the general director of Beidahuan LLC. She also explained that the main investments will be directed towards the acquisition of transportation and equipment.
Currently, the largest agricultural enterprise in the Primorsky Krai is the Legendagro Group, in which the Chinese company Joyvio Beidahuang Agricultural Holdings (JBA) is a shareholder. The company "Legendagro" plans to open a soybean processing plant and a Russian-Chinese agro-industrial park by 2027, as well as launch a grain terminal for transshipment in the Amur region. This terminal will be designed for handling 3 million tons of grain per year.
