According to the forecasts of the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet harvest in Russia in 2024 is expected to be around 42 million tons, which is 20% lower than last year's result (53.1 million tons). The yield has decreased by 20.7%, but the sugar content in beets has increased by 1-3% to 18-20% in some regions, as reported by Agroinvestor.

Yuri Barimboyim, the general director of the "Chishmin Sugar Plant," noted that the situation in Bashkortostan is different. Beet yield has increased by about 1.5 times compared to the previous year, but the sugar content has decreased.

It is expected that 2.4 million tons of beets will be harvested in the region, which poses a challenge for the plant to process up to 1 million tons. Due to the modernization of the plant, production capacity has increased, and the plant can now process up to 6 thousand tons of raw materials per day.

Over the past few years, the plant has become one of the top three largest Russian sugar exporters. The products are shipped to 9 countries, including China and CIS countries.

3.7 billion rubles have been invested in the modernization of the enterprise since 2017, improving the quality of the products and increasing the processing volume.
