Dmitry Patrushev stated that autumn sowing in Russia is active and currently covers an area of 3.3 million hectares. The pace of work is in line with forecasts.
"All grain-producing regions have already started harvesting the new crop. More than 93 million tons of grain have been harvested, including 70.5 million tons of wheat. Despite unfavorable weather conditions that accompanied the work in some southern, central, and Volga regions, it is evident that the final volumes will meet expectations. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Agriculture maintains the grain harvest forecast at 132 million tons," said Dmitry Patrushev.
The harvesting of oilseeds, vegetables, potatoes, fruits, and berries continues.
Discussing preparations for sowing in 2025, Dmitry Patrushev emphasized the importance of continuing the transition to domestic seeds.
Significant progress has already been made in this direction. For example, the share of domestic seeds in winter wheat sowing this year exceeded 90%.
