The cost of sunflower seeds in Russia has increased by 2.1%, reaching 31,000 rubles. Prices for other agricultural crops are also rising. Prices are also increasing on the world markets. Harvesting is ongoing. More details are available in the review.

The average price of sunflower seeds across the entire territory of the Russian Federation has increased by 2.1% and now amounts to 31 thousand rubles. In the southern regions, the average price per ton of sunflower seeds is 31.3 thousand rubles excluding value-added tax. In the Central region, the price of sunflower seeds is 31.4 thousand rubles, and in the Volga region, it is 31.1 thousand rubles.

The average price of corn nationwide has increased by 0.8% and is now 12.3 thousand rubles. In the southern regions, the price of corn is 12.5 thousand rubles without VAT, in the Volga Federal District – 11.1 thousand rubles without VAT, and in the Central Federal District – 11.7 thousand rubles without VAT.

The average price of soybeans in Russia is 35.1 thousand rubles. The cheapest soybeans can be purchased in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District for 27.3 thousand rubles without VAT. In the Central region, the price reaches 37 thousand rubles, and in the Far East, it is 34.3 thousand rubles.

The average cost of rapeseed in Russia is 30.2 thousand rubles. The cheapest rapeseed seeds are sold in the North Caucasus Federal District for 24.3 thousand rubles without VAT. In the Central region, the current price is 34.3 thousand rubles, and in Siberia - 26.1 thousand rubles.

On the global markets, the price of sunflower seeds has increased by 1.3% over the week and now stands at 559.7 dollars per ton, FOB France. The price of corn has increased by 5.2% and is 207.3 dollars per ton, FOB Argentina. The cost of soybeans has increased by 0.8% and now amounts to 448.6 dollars per ton, FOB Brazil. The price of rapeseed has decreased by 1.3% and now stands at 527.0 dollars per ton, FOB France.

As of October 3, 2024, harvesting was carried out on an area of 42.1 million hectares, including 5.7 million hectares of sunflower seeds, 1.1 million hectares of corn, 2.7 million hectares of soybeans and 2.2 million hectares of rapeseed.
