"Prices for fodder barley on the Ukrainian export market continue to rise due to increased demand and limited supply."

Prices for fodder barley on the Ukrainian export market continue to rise due to stable demand, limited supply, and a situation similar to corn and wheat. In the ports of Odessa and the Danube, prices have increased by 2-4 dollars, ranging from 169 to 179 dollars per ton.

According to the data from the "APK-Inform" Information Agency, prices for feed barley continue to rise on the Ukrainian export market since the beginning of this week.

This price increase was driven by stable demand from importers, limited supply from agricultural producers, and a similar situation in the corn and feed wheat markets. Additionally, the domestic barley market also contributed to the price growth, thanks to increased domestic consumption.

For example, in the ports of Odessa and Danube, demand for feed barley has increased by 2-4 US dollars per ton and as of October 4, 2024, ranges from 169 to 178 US dollars CPT-port Odessa and from 170 to 179 US dollars CPT-port Danube, compared to the end of the previous week.
