Russian farmers have an adequate fuel supply and prices for conducting spring sowing without any issues, said Oksana Lut, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture.
“At the moment, all regions and agricultural producers are fully supplied with fuel. We have agreements with the Ministry of Energy that have allowed deliveries to be distributed among the main companies. The plan is being implemented, and there are no problems with fuel supply on the ground. Prices are also acceptable, and we have not received any complaints from agricultural producers,” Oksana Lut reported at the Federation Council meeting.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev noted that sowing has already begun in 19 Russian regions. He also reminded that this year an additional 42 billion rubles in state support was allocated for preferential lending to farmers.
Earlier, Oksana Lut pointed out that the situation with sowing in Russia is quite complicated, and unpredictable weather is expected. However, farmers have been fully provided with everything necessary for successful sowing.
